Scotch eggs second to none! Terrific staff and a warm welcome! Quite simply don't pass it by or you'll miss a real treat, great value!
I visit the cafe quite a bit as a cyclist as it's it good mid ride stop. Cakes are all home made and always delicious (flapjacks and Bakewell tarts my recommendation.) Ordering can be slow at times but service is very quick and friendly.
This is my discovery of 2018. It's a total gem. It's charming, welcoming, and unique. The food is fabulous. From a simple coffee and cake to a lunch off the menu, everything tastes wonderful. And as for the service. It's exemplary.
Liked imaginative decor made from reclaimed stuff. Being attached to the Scotch Egg makers next door this has an egg-centric menu - can't remember if vegan choice is good. My egg Florentine was tasty but a bit watery. Tea is served in a pot, which some may like, but I find a bit twee and pointless when using a tea bag especially when it ends up so weak.
Love this place. What a gem! Popped in for coffee and cake on the way home. We weren't disappointed. The menu looked great with a variety of things available including vegetarian and vegan options. I chose the vegan apple cake which was delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful. There's plenty of seating but it's still cozy. I went and had a look round the farm shop and garden centre afterwards. Would definitely recommend a visit and I can't wait to go back.
